Method 1: Remove the Chkdsk.exe or the Autochk.exe program from Scheduled Tasks Follow these steps to remove the Chkdsk.exe or the Autochk.exe program from the list of scheduled tasks in the Scheduled Tasks feature. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Scheduled Tasks. Click either Chkdsk or Autochk in the list of scheduled tasks. Under Folder Tasks, click Delete this item. Method 2: Check the Session Manager registry entry Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor: Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
